Novak M2 DIG - The First Dual Motor ESCPicture the functionality and utility of two crawling ESCs plus a dig unit; now, envision it in one highly programmable, inexpensive speed control and you get the revolutionary M2 Dig 3S Dual Brush ESC. This unique controller combines 6 adjustable parameters with its revolutionary performance including a separated drag brake and dig function.With only the addition of two brushed motors (or a brushed motor and an accessory item such as a winch), the M2 Dig controls both motors and performs dig maneuvers. In addition to the standard Dig Mode, the M2 features a Proportional Dig Mode which allows you to dial-in partial motor power on the fly for even finer control and precise maneuverability through tricky terrain. On-the-fly motor biasing is unique to the M2 ESC, and is a built-in feature. Before the M2, this was only an option with Dual ESCs and transmitter programming. The M2 Dig also features an exceptional control on steep inclines and descents. This truly unique speed control supports both 2S and 3S LiPo!Because of its unique features, the M2 Dig 3S is perfect for the Axial XR10! The M2 ESC is also ideal with other dual-MOA vehicles, such as EnRoute’s® Berg™, Integy’s® Super and Unlimited Class of crawlers, and Clod Buster®-based vehicles.New Dual Independent Mode - Profile #4Motor-On-Axle, or "MOA" crawlers have become the standard for ultimate competition based rock crawling vehicles. Radio systems now offer tuning options for dual ESC and the updated M2 Dig has an added 4th profile to take advantage of this. In addition to MOA crawlers, this new M2 Dig ESC can be used as a dual-purpose scale build speed control - use one side to run the vehicle motor, and the 2nd side to operate the vehicle´s winch. The new 4th profile breaks up the M2 into 2 separate inputs. No more pre-mixed operation or "dig" settings. Each channel is operated on its own input from the radio system. Setting up "tank style" vehicles, or using the radio mixing to set up multi-motor controls is easy and in an all in one package. Four Fully Programmable Throttle ProfilesThe compact M2 Dig ESC is easy to install and operate. There are four fully programmable throttle profiles:Dig Mode uses Dig Power (independent of Drag Brake) to lock one motor at a time.This mode requires a proportional switch or a simple three-position switch to operate.Proportional Dig Mode. This completely original mode uses a transmitter´s third channel that is proportional (button or dial), allowing drivers to vary the amount of Dig Power being applied to the motor. This innovative feature provides seemingly endless fine tuning of the Dig for the ultimate vehicle control.Single Output Mode is for applications with single motors or operation without a 3-channel transmitter. In this mode all four motor power wires can be soldered to one brush motor for higher performance, or connect two motors and control them both at the same time.Dual Independent Mode is for applications that require independent control over two motors, or one motor and an accessory item such as a winch. The throttle trigger controls one motor, and the transmitter´s AUX/3rd channel controls the second motor or accessory item. All settings such as drag brake, dead band, and minimum drive equally apply to both motors. There is no dig function in this mode.In addition to crawling applications, the M2 Dig 3S ESC is ideal for applications that require two motors, such as robots, boats, tanks and submarines. On-Board AdjustabilityThe M2 Dig not only gives racers four individual throttle profiles, but can also be easily adjusted via Novak´s reliable on-board setup. There are four PCB-mounted LEDs to aid in programming and two external LED indicator lights, located at the ends of six inch harnesses that visibly display when a motor is locked and the vehicle is ready to dig.The powerful speed control also comes equipped with instant reverse via Novak’s Zero Reverse Delay, which provides immediate power delivery in both forward and reverse directions.No Modifications NeededThe M2 Dig 3S ESC does not require any rig modifications to install or operate.
